I'm Ben, Polar Chef. I've lived up here for 20 years, from Svalbard to Lofoten. I know the fishers, the farmers, the foragers — the ones who actually live this life. And I want to introduce you to them.

You bring your camera. I'll bring the location, the timing, and the story. We'll visit local producers along the way — maybe Lofoten Seaweed, Tangstad Hvalkjøtt, Lofoten Gårdsysteri, Åland Gård, Lofoten Product, or Ballstad with Nic Haug Fish. It depends on the day, but the focus is always the same: the people, their craft, and their place in Lofoten.

Our Polar Bites travel with us — prepared fresh at Jordbærpikene Cafe. We'll find a good spot to stop, take it in, and taste the food with the landscape right in front of us.

We'll start with a welcome drink at the cafe, then head out to explore. Along the way, I'll share what I've learned about this place — the light, the land, the stories that don't make it into the guidebooks.

This isn't a polished tour. It's a real day in Lofoten, with good food, good people, and a bit of the wild. From September to March, we hunt the Northern Lights — no guarantees, just the thrill of the chase. Chase the Aurora. Taste the Arctic. Welcome to the dark.
